5 Medifast meals? Even if you aren't hungry? DO you cut back your L&G so that you ca eat all 5 Medifast meals?..

They say you are supposed to eat all 5, the first week I could only get 4 in. My trick now is to have the Medifast Hot Cocoa before bed, this has helped so much...

I have a hard time eating all the meals too. I take a bar to bed with me and eat it after I read for an hour, because I can't stomach eating quickly after the L&G. It's really bizarre to me that I am full off of 850 calories a day...

You really have to be careful because skipping meals can set yourself up for massive hunger later on. It might not hit the same day but you could find yourself starving the next day. I have had that happen during the first couple of weeks. It wasn't pretty that's for sure...

This is such a low calorie diet anyway, that if you skip a meal (whether it be a Medifast meal or your L&G) you could easily put your body into "starvation mode", and you could stop losing weight! It's very important to get in all 5 Medifast meals AND the L&G!..

Really, the most important reason to eat all five meals and your allotted lean and green each day is proper nutrition. This program is scientifically developed to provide all the nutrients your body needs to remain healthy while consuming a low amount of calories. If you regularly skip things, you won't be getting all the good things your body needs to function normally. A missed Medifast meal on a rare occasion is not going to cause a major problem, but it certainly is not a good habit to get into...

I eat all 5 meals whether I am hungry or not. I eat my full lean and green. On days when I am not hungry, I have steak which is 5oz...

Luv2scrap - Don't cut back on your l&g and DON'T pass up a Medifast meal. Trust me, I know it's hard. Eating enough has always been a struggle for me. I just learned to eat whether I wanted it or not. If I didn't, my weight loss, which was slow to begin with, could completely stall. Whatever you need to do, drink hot cocoa before bed, double up on a Medifast meal occasionally, make sure you get them all in. Your body needs the nutrition in those little white packets...

No I am not cutting anything out - I am just forcing my last shake down at night, lol! Which yes, has been the hot chocolate, only I like it cold... lol..

If you are not doing it now...try having a shake within 1/2 hour of rising. If you start earlier you shouldn't have any issues getting them all in...

I struggle with the last meal of the day. If I make sure I get 4 Medifast meals in before my evening L&G then I can have that last meal and I'm good to go. But trying to get in 2 Medifast meals after dinner is almost impossible. I've had to get out of bed at midnight and have that last meal on many nights! I'm not a good sleeper, so it's very common that I'm up at some point in the night. If I'm hungery - I can have a midnight meal and then I'm good to go (back to sleep that is)..

Its common...... but I guess it is very important to eat all 5 of the 5&1..

Keep working on it!..

I think it's pretty much been covered, get all your meals in each day, but I have found when I am shift working I have trouble with this. I don't sweat it. There are days that I fall asleep before I get my last meal in, or days that I'm falling asleep while eating my last meal. I try to plan ahead for these days and double up on one of the Medifast meals. The easiest for me to double up AND eat are the pudding, hot cocoa and cappuchino. Not all of those together, 2 puddings at a time, 2 cocoas or 2 capps...
