I can't judge from their whois http://www.name.com/whois_result.php...ubmit=+Submit+ http://whois.domaintools.com/gotobed.net.
Better logged in at name.com and see if that domain appeared in your account or it failed registration...
The domain is indeed in my account with no typos, and no failed registration message. Could the Sedo link somehow be outdated? Or perhaps I was somehow sold a domain which is already registered I might email customer support sooner than later Has anyone else here experienced this type of situation before?..
This is fairly common. Weblord provided a link to domaintools. There is also an historical database at that site that shows previous registration (you need a paid account for historical info).
The previous owner did not remove it from their sedo account. Just email sedo...
The domain tools is not updated real time but I can't figure out why name.com is not updated as well, if this is a common norm with them it's better you contact customer support immediately to give them a headsup and let them update the whois info regarding that domain...
Thanks very much for the responses. The information you have both provided is very helpful I'll check to see if any other of my domains has this issue...
This is easy to understand:.
Someone has registered that domain back in 2004 and posted it for sale at SEDO. Somehow he let that domain expired and you just registered it. You are the new owner so don't worry...
I have this same situation with three of my domain names. They were available at GoDaddy, I registered them, they're in my account and listed under my name in Whois, but Sedo hasn't parked them yet (Sedo says it's attempting to verify them), because the previous owners had them for sale there, and never took the domains down. One of those names has been in "verification" status at Sedo for weeks now, with no resolution! But the names are mine, for sure...
If you want to add them to your own account at Sedo make sure to turn off whois privacy so Sedo can verify. It can take up to a week but normally it's within 48 hours...
