Today is my fourth day and so far... not so bad and definately not as scary as I first thoughtJust wanted to introduce myself and say that I was so excited to read everyones past posts such a wealth of inforation! I learned that I definately don't like the chili and the oatmeal is better with less water and a little cinnamon sprinkled on the top.

Like alot of posts I have seen around here I have been overweight for most of my adult life and have tried several methods to loose. I am truly excited about the program and just feel different this time around, this time it's for real!.

One quick question, I have had a strange taste in my mouth the last day or so. Kinda taste like I just ate a splenda package any ideas? Guessing it's the food but not sure??..

The strange taste in your mouth means your burning FAT! It's annoying, but it's a good sign. You can help curb it a bit by drinking a lot of water, brush your teeth and tongue several times a day, like after each meal - I know, thats 6 times! or chew sf gum - but I think we're limited to 2 sticks per day - refer to condiments list for more info on that..

Sounds like you're doing great! The pancakes are absolutely wonderful! go just a bit shy on the water, SHAKE don't stir (I use an old instant cake frosting container). The brownies are good, a bit light on the chocolate flavoring. The soups and stuff all need to be hydrated for an hour or more before nuking them - it helps to add hot sauce or some garlic and onion powder, and/or cumin. Spices help a lot! You can add flavor extracts to the shakes - make the pudding into shakes - bake the oatmeal into cookies or muffins..... Oh my the options are endless!!! You won't get bored if you keep changing things up..

Good luck! Stay on the boards and let us all know how you're doing. There is a thread for making your ticker also - do a search for it. Welcome aboard!..

Great job on staying on plan for 4 days! You're on your way. I agree about the chili. If I must eat it, I let it soak for awhile and add red pepper flakes (as condiment). The oatmeal is tolerable to me if I add one packet of Splenda (again, condiment). My favorites are some of the bars, strawberry shake, and hot drinks. Good luck!..
