Hi Happy Grandma and WELCOME!.
Corn is a no-no (peas too) because they are a starchy veggie. (Check your Nutrisystem Planner for the "good" veggies and serving quantities)..
For the meatloaf, well sorry, but it was not my fav but please do try it and form your own opinion. Remember you're allowed 3 "free foods" per day - 1 at a time. You can always use a bit of ketchup (tsp?) on the meatloaf, or worchestshire or steak sauce...but bcs these are sugary condiments, watch your quantity and measure, measure, measure..
Don't be daunted by measuring in the beginning - do it religiously to be successful. As you become more familiar with what a serving size it, you will not need to measure..
The Nutrisystem plan works if you work the plan - eat, drink, exercise. It's that easy!.
Best of luck to you!! I can't wait to hear your success story!.
I made eggplant rollatinis from the meatloaf..recipe in the recipe club...made it more palatable...that is the only thing I really have not liked in my week on this program. All the other food has been realy tasty and filling!.
Welcome to the program! .
The way I went about the meals is this: Try everything as it's packaged once, then decide if you want to "doctor it up". You may love it just as it is!.
Like Kaydennie said, Corn is not on the approved vegetable list because of all the starch. It is however on the Carb's list..
Edited for correct info: On the women's program, it appears you don't get a Carb with dinner unless the entree calls for it. Which varies from the men's program. If you have a dinner that calls for a carb serving (like the beef patty) you could skip the small roll they suggest and have a 1/2 cup of corn as a carb if you wanted to..
Thank you for your idea...I'll certainly try it. Much success....
Thank you for your suggestions....Congratulations on your great weight loss..
I have loved everything on the menu so far..I do have a slight headache that I can't seem to get rid of?? Have to shut off my mind and not think of the sweets (which are my downfall!) Hang in there everybody tomorrow is day 3, lets keep going strong!!.
