Hi there, I am excited to start my first day on Medifast! Breakfast was oatmeal...I was afraid to eat it but it wasn't bad.

Did you get used to the food quickly?.

What can I have in my morning cup of coffee...splenda/fat free creamer??.

Which foods are your favorites?.

You can have half and half in your coffee. 2 TBSP = 1 condiment. You need to look at the carbs, that's more important than the fat content. I know you can have sweet n low, I believe it's 1/2 a packet. It's on the condiment list..

Everyone's tastes are different. Most people don't like the oatmeal at first. It took me about a week for my tastes to change. Most Medifast meals are much better several weeks in, then they were in the beginning.

I couldn't drink unsweet tea or any diet soda when I started the program. I don't mind them at all now..

Drink your coffee black or make a shake and add some of that to your coffee. I use a cold cup coffee and mix a shake/capp with it instead of water in the Magic Bullet..

I got used to the food in a few weeks. The smell was harder for me than the taste.

I would recommend using a french vanilla shake for your breakfast and put that in the coffee instead of creamer. This way you leave yourself condiments for your L&G. You're restricted to no more than 3 condiments per day.

The dark chocolate antioxidant shakes and the Chai latte are my two absolute favs. I will probably continue to use them forever. The shake I use hot in the winter before bed it tastes better than the hot cocoa and I drink it icy cold in the summer. The chai I love with my coffee. The chai is not for everyone. It has a very strong nutmeg and ginger taste.

Welcome to Medifast. You can have both splenda and powdered creamer if it's not to high in carbs. Check the condiment list (I found it under the Eat Right section of the Success Tools tab of because they are both condiments and you need to be sure you don't exceed 3 condiments per day, and each must be less than 1 g carb. The list gives you how much of each constitutes one condiment. Check your fat free creamer for sugar/carbs - as a newbie myself (second week), I've learned fat free is not always our friend and low fat can be better. Good luck to you - I'm loving Medifast!.

Welcome! I had oatmeal for my first meal too. I got used to it and other things after a while. A couple weeks, I'd say. I can't have my coffee without my creamer! I use Coffeemate French Vanilla (in the bottle, refrigerated section) and was using the fat free, but then switched to sugar free because there is less of everything in it. I have it every day. I don't do condiments on the regular, so it works out just fine for me..

Do you have all the food lists printed out or at least saved on your computer so they are handy? Let me know and if not, I will put them in a link here for you .

I can't function without my morning cup of coffee. I use one pkt. of truvia and a tiny splash of fat free half and half. yes, you do get used to the food. when I first started I thought "there is no way I am going to be able to eat this food" and now I like most of it. I really like the shakes and my nightly brownie. good luck and welcome!.

Feeling pretty hungry but I'm moving along. I am home today with the kids b/c the weather is awful. Of course being home is the worst thing as I keep passing the kitchen and just prepared their lunch. Challenging but skinny & fit is better than how anything in that kitchen tastes!.
