How do I create a website of pictures that I have taken..
Hire a "web host" and choose enough space to handle your intended galleries. These typically cost $10/mo up....
Find an application that creates galleries that you like. There are hundreds! Some are free..
My favorite free gallery SW is Porta. Google it..
My favorite non-free is Lightroom. It comes with some gallery choices and there are hundreds of others that you can install. I use ones from Airtight, TTG, and SlideShowPro..
You may need an FTP client to send the finished gallery to your website. Lightroom can do that and doesn't need a separate FTP application..

This is what I was looking for. No ads, well limited ads. thanks.

I might add that you should consider owning your own domain. whatever.com..
Cheers, Craig..
Also some ISP will give you limited space for web hosting. I know AOL use to give some space. You might want to check with your ISP it is usually pretty cheap. Also you might want to check out Blogspot on Google, but again the space is limited..
JimOlympus E-510 and a bunch of stuff to hang on it...
If u're on mac and use aperture there are tons of good website developing plug insMichael, Londonhttp://www.michaelxuereb.com.

Hi Tim..
I'd recommend hostmonster as a 'host' provider, i've just signed up to a $5.95/mo deal and they include free domain name registration, ie. yourwebsite.com.
Lightroom (mentioned already) is a great app for creating galleries and don't forget it's other uses; RAW conversion, photo tweaking and organisation..
I don't know how clued up you are on webpages and HTML but I have found,http://www.w3schools.com to be fantastic..
Good luck.

Owning your own domain is fine and good, but a lot of hassle if you just want to upload a quick album to show other users..
I use a few online services, some of which will allow you to customize the look and layout of your images..
Have a look at:.
All of these are free, and all will allow you to upload a (limited) number of pictures to your public or private profile...

For what it's worth, I've been w/ 1&1 for many years. They are a good, reliable web host..

Yes..
I typed "Porta" into my Google search field and the 2nd "hit" was:.
"Porta photo album generator.

I ignored the ones about "Porta-Potty"... .
