Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.....well been there done that and well it was hard at first but now I havent had a soda in so long I forgot what it tasted like lol..
Would love to know where you get your liquid sucralose. I've looked on ebay, but hesitate to order as I'm not sure about ordering food product. I have seem small bottles on both Capella & via Netrition, but they're expensive per ounce..
D~.
Lol before clicking on this thread I was like "She's a WHAT-aholic?" not thinking you meant cokeaholic....
I did the same thing!! LOL.
<phew>.
I thought there WAS diet Coke made with Splenda?.
If you like the real thing, coke with splenda is not very tasty, I like it alot sweeter. As far as buying the sucrose, I've been shopping around. I have not ordered any since it became unpatented but I've seen several web sites that it is real cheap but have not tried it yet. You never know if they dilute it or not even though they say they don't. When I try some next time I'll share the site, as for now I have plenty..
Sorry for mispelling I mean sucralose not sucrose ( that's sugar silly girl!) lol.
I don't use the sucralose, but I do use the liquid sweetners just so I don't add any more carbs to what I eat/drink.
The liquid sucralose has no carbs 0 calories.
Lori - I think the liquid sucralose is a great option, but it's really not great for you. Your Coke Zero already has some form of artificial sweetener in it. Perhaps you should learn to drink it as is and teach your taste buds to move away from super sweet things. Relearning how to taste foods in their natural form is part of the learning process. The only thing I use artificial sweeteners for (outside of my daily diet pepsi) is in coffee. Don't really care for the taste of coffee, but gotta have that caffeine!.
I understand, totally, but one thing at the time...and it will take time..
I have to agree with De. First all that soda has a lot of sodium in it which will slow your losses. Your addition to sweet will hinder your ability to be successful long term so I too would recommend starting to stop adding any sweetner. Start weaning yourself off. Lastly, Medifast tells us we can only have soda after we've had all our plain water for the day. If you're not drinking your water, you'll start having health issues on this plan.
Your kidneys can't be very happy with you now, they'll be even less happy if you're not getting your water in..
Great info... here's a second option for anyone interested..
I switched to Diet Rite sodas. They are cheap at Walmart, come in tangerine, black cherry, raspberry, white grape, and COLA and every flavor has ZERO calories, ZERO sodium (a biggie) and ZERO caffeine as well as being made with Splenda. It's a good switch for me. WHen I am off Medifast I plan to skip sodas altogether and have fruit for mys weet fix but for now Diet Rites are great..
Honestly- you might want to edit the spelling..
"I'm a pot head (Farberware).".
