Any opnion on the SD100? how does it compare with the S230? thanks..

I'm very interested in buying the SD100 Digital ELPH. However, I plan to use it for underwater photography as well. Any comments on it's functionality underwater will be greatly appreciated...

SD100 Movies: In what format are movie clips transfered to my computer? Can I view them as Quicktime Movies with sound on my Mac?..

Originally I had the S230 but now I own the SD100. They work exactly the same! What makes the SD100 a tad bit better is that it has a speaker installed that way you can hear your video clips right there. With the S230, you'd have to wait til you're at your computer or a tv. Unfortunately, I'm still trying to learn (or maybe the SD100 doesn't have the capability) to take pictures extremely up close. For example, i've been trying to take photos of insects or the dew drops on a leaf. With the zoom, you can never get it to be clear. Otherwise, GREAT CAMERA!..

Can you tell me if there is a lot of noise or hiss when a video is taken in a quiet room for example. Is it as noisy as the S230 which I have at the moment...

I love the sd100.. takes great pictures but there is a learning curve involved in taking the right shots. Sometimes leaving it on auto mode does not give you the best pictures...

Which cameras have the smallest delay time between pushing the button to take the picture and the time it takes the picture? I have a Olympus c700 and I have to wait a couple seconds before the picture is actually taken...

I have an canon SD100. I lost the software CDs and drivers and I cant find the software or driver that allow me to connect the camera to the notebook's usb port.

I am runnning windows XP Professional.

If there are any links where I can download the USB driver for the cam I would be greatful.

My batter is charged..but there is no image...driving me crazy since I need to be at graduation a couple of days and need my camera. Please help.

Hi, I have done a lot of research in the past couple of days, my LCD had purple and white lines running across it, and it seems there is a manufacturers flaw. Check their website for "service information" - they will repaitr your camera regardless of the warranty. I will be calling them on Monday! Hope this helps - I too was distressed - I love my little camera!..
