I believe the condiment list allows 1/2 tsp. salt per day. It seems as though a lot of people point to the fact that too much sodium will slow your loss but as I posted on another thread, I just do not find that to be the case for me. While I realize there is very little sodium in the five Medifast meals, I have not cut down on the amount of table salt I use at all. I sprinkle it on my lean and green, both while cooking and at the table - just as I always did. I am consistenly losing and am down over 25 lbs in 7 weeks. I love my salt so - call me lucky!.
I'm staying away from salt just because it's one of the foods that I could never get enough of. I do use Mrs. Dash on some things and lemon pepper on most others. The lemon pepper does contain a small bit of salt but it seems to satisfy that craving for me. Good luck!!!!.
I've begun switching from using salad dressing to just salt and pepper and haven't really noticed it affecting my weight loss.
Just remember to watch your Sodium intake using the Nutritional calculator ... 2300mg is the max you should do in a day if you're a healthy individual ... and I believe it's 1500mg for people with high blood pressure.
Yes you can use salt .
And it really does work and it really IS this easy! Happy that you're not experiencing any negative side effects! Woo!.
Well thats great!.
Well you are one of the lucky ones not to have side effects. I did the first week but am past that. I was starving, mainly because I ate so much before. I could down a 1,000 calories in one setting by what I was eating and didn't even notice how much I was eating in one setting..
I use salt. It hasn't hindered any weight loss for me. It also may help if you do get headaches in the future. Keep up the great work..
Congrats on day 4!! I didn't really have any of the side affects either (except tired), I think it's because I skipped so many meals (I know bad for you!) in the past and ate BIG dinners..
I try to keep my seasonings to traditional (single flavor) seasonings, such as onion powder, garlic powder, cinnamon (depending on what I am making).... or a Mrs Dash blend (there are so many now!!) - I've grown from needing to salt most things to limiting my salt to a couple dishes..
