For my university project I'm creating a golf ball that houses 3camera lenses. My question is:.
What components do I need to purchase to create this project? (ex:CMOS, lens, battery...etc)..
Haha there's nothing wrong with a little sense of humor..
Basically the golf-sized gadget would take 3 simultaneous pictures and the still images will be stored onto the golf ball and later trasnmitted..
The purpose behind the 3 lenses would be to capture 3 images which will later be link to provide a panoramic type image..
What componenets are needed to pull this off? (ex: batteries, cmos chip, lens, lens holder...)..
This is really out of my knowledge area, but it would seem to me that if you intend to hit this golf ball with a golf club, and subject the ball to high G forces, then you will probably have to look for a self contained tiny camera (with your required specs) capable of withstanding these high G forces. I would not try to design this type of camera myself..
Deformation of the golf ball, and how the golf ball will react to impact after being modified, will also be of concern. Golf balls have rubber bands in them. You are going to have to remove some of this for your cameras and storage devices, etc. Are these balls still going to act like golf balls with less rubber in them? After you consider some of these questions, then you can start to consider how to set up all the equipment to simultaneously take 3 shots and save them for later download..
Of course there is a lot more to consider but these are just a few quick thoughts..

It wouldn't be so hard if you didn't have to fit it into a golf ball..
You have to absorb the impact of being launched I assume, to absorb the impact you need a lot of engineering, rubber and tight tolerances..
You have to have some type of controller circuit and flash memory. You need something to trigger the picture..
Whats going to make sure the ball is not spinning too fast to take an image?.
You need a power supply..
Cell phone camera lens and sensors or the toy department would be the place I'd start for parts...

Perhaps a ping pong ball might be a better option..

Have you ever seen a slow motion (high speed camera) image of a golf ball being hit? It deforms and compresses before springing back into shape and shooting straight down the fairway onto the green (or into the water hazard!).Any electronics inside would be destroyed during the compression..
If you want an aerial shot maybe a tennis ball sized plastic ball thrown by hand would be better. You could buy 3 of those ultra cheap, small, key ring style cameras, strip them apart and add a simple timer circuit to activate the shutters in sync. Not really university level stuff though - more school project!..
