Hi. I weighed 146lbs when I started the program 4 weeks ago. I've been sticking to 900 to 1200 calories a day and I lose .5lbs a day. It is coming off very fast, but I have been sticking to it every single day including no alcohol. For a women, it is my understanding that you should be around 1200 if you are not working out. If you plan on working out hard then you may want to increase it 100 to 200. I'd also follow up with your counselor..
If you are a woman with over 100 pounds to lose, you average around 1500 calories per day..
If you are a woman with under 100 pounds to lose, you average around 1250 calories per day..
If you are a man with over 100 pounds to lose, you average around 1800 calories per day..
If you are a man with under 100 pounds to lose, you average about 1500 calories per day..
Jaynine: If you are only eating 900 calories a day, you aren't following the plan. You need to average OVER 1200 calories a day. Please call and discuss this with a Dietitian..
Women with less than 100 pounds to lose should average 1250, but most days you will be in the 1100-1300 range. For health reasons, you should never go below 1000.
If you exercise a lot, you need to talk to a counselor. They will determine if you should add food to your day and what those foods should be..
The average weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. That is an average so don't think you will lose 1-2 pounds every week. You may even gain once in a while so don't panic..
