This is just a brief post to document what occurred in November 2009 and beyond when Mr Blake Ross, a internet icon who has appeared in Time magazine and Wired, posted to this board that he was selling Parakeet.com.

I took the BIN for parakeet.com at the full $1500 amount. Blake countered in PM that someone else bid higher and he wanted more. I upped my bid and we agreed to transfer via Escrow as stated below: The next day he starts asking for offers again where the entire namepros board rebuts him and refuses to engage in his child play. Eventually he backs out via email claiming it's too much work and he shouldn't sell right now because of tax concerns. An Internet Multimillionaire worries about taxes on a $2,000 sale? The thread itself is archived, but everyone on this board was very supportive and clearly defended my right to acquire this domain. However, this is unlikely to happen.

However, if Mr Blake Ross ever chooses to sell, I will be there waiting for my commission, even if it's 50 years from now. This post, the archived thread, and my emails are permanent proof that Mr Ross and his estate, no matter what his 20 lawyers have told him, will owe me from now until forevermore.

People like this are really taking a piss and Blake is no exception. He cares about nothing except his privacy and his money. During the next Great Depression he'll be the one handing out bread for $5 then jacking up the price to $20 when you're family is starving.

Ignore this crook and treat as hostile at all times...

It makes little sense a multi-millionaire would behave in this fashion. I havn't seen any of the old threads.. but are you 100% sure it's really the same guy ?

Well here is a link to the thread - http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-...akeet-com.html.

The whois on the domain shows "Blake Ross".

Brad..

7 posts, account closed. I'd say the seller was a scammer and abused the name (or stolen the domain)..

Besides the above, I think the price is a clear clue...

Unfortunately this is certainly Blake. I have emails from Blake@Firefox and at Gmail which make it 100% clear, and the author himself has verified, that he is Blake Ross and too rich for these boards.

Sounds like a bunch of silliness right? You would think there is no way an adult millionaire would behave like this.

Think again...

Maybe the economy is turning the noble into crooks ;-).

Indeed, rather silly...
