I would e-mail them back and explain your situation of being an Amazon Affiliate. Sounds like that should cya. Good luck!..
As an Amazon affiliate you're covered legally. Explain to them the TOS you have with Amazon as an affiliate that actually delivers the content to your site in order to enhance sales of their product...
Thanks for the replies, ToryC103 & Labrocca!.
I've submitted my response and will update this thread once things are resolved - which ever way it goes. I'll also list the product at issue...
You are unlikely to "resolve" anything, since these notifications are automatically generated by buggy software in the first place. Yes, the software that these "enforcement services" use in the course of peddling their shoddy services to copyright owners will often pick up the copyright owner's own licensed and distributed advertisements.
It really doesn't matter. At the end of the month, the copyright owner gets a spiffy report full of numbers saying "We stopped X infringements, write us another check".
What you will get is more spam...
Yeah, I was pretty sure it autogenerated as the result of a bot visiting my site. I have to say that they seem to have 8th grade level writers (such as myself) composing and formatting their warnings. It's all good as long it keeps pumping money in to the economy at this point in time... WOO-HOO!!! My Hawaiian girlfriend is going to be VERY happy, MORE SPAM!!!.
Seriously though, thanks for weighing in, Mr Berryhill!.
On a side note, I will probably be contacting you shortly about a totally unrelated domain...
Contact Amazon. Another one known for this type of thing is Net Enforcers and Amazon responded to them on the affiliates behalf...
