Have any other readers had trouble with replacement parts? I have been in touch with Pandigital's support center since 17 April 2008, when my display went blank. They suggest that what I need is a new 9V 2A AC power adapter and promised to send me one as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the power adapters have apparently been on back order (for 7 weeks???), and no matter how many times this gets escalated to their supervisor, I'm still not getting any satisfaction. I'm sure they're continuing to sell new products. So why should it be so difficult for them to get me a power adapter?..

I purchased a new frame (pan201wd2) for my wife for Christmas. The instructions do not match the frame. How do I get instructions that match what I bought?..

Ours will only stand at a 45 degree angle, it's as if the extending stand should be about 2 inches longer. am I missing something?..

Block copy from external memory is limited to 512 pictures, delete (frame can not do this on external) and continue with remainder or use the PC. Maximum number of photos it can display is 3000 (250*12), even though package indicates it can store 6400 photos (I managed closer to 13000 in practice). Yes, it stores them, but that is NOT the point! If you delete ones in the middle, the frame has no problems displaying the new ones at the end, but still limited to the first 3000. Random photos are not random, repetition comes quickly. Seed is small, fixed and has little entropy (a scientific way of saying yo' mama!) There is no Firmware Update to resolve these three bugs. Menus get way-to-sluggish after 500 or more photos are being dealt with.

However, works fine as it plays, just wait for the menus to respond in their time. I can hear program management saying 'ship it' ... The frame's stand is understandably stiff to extend, not sure when my pulling is hurting or not. Maybe they should consider a tensioning screw? Tricia appears to be afraid to pull on the stand any harder .....

I received your 7 inch frame for christmas. I am trying to follow the instructions, in the book that came with it,but cannot figure out how to do it. I have pictures in my computer, in different places and I have Windows XP and cannot find the icon that you say to left click on to select the correct storage device. I am so disgusted because I have been sitting here in front of this computer for around 2 hours. Please Help!!!!!!!!..

I just bought 4 of these for Christmas gifts this year. I am loading the photos onto them, which was very easy. I really like the picture quality and ease of use BUT!!!! Every one of these frames has the same problem. Random photos appear to be cut in half with the bottom half in pink or sometimes blue negative image. Very strange. This happens on all the frames.

So I formatted the frame and only loaded a few photos on one of the frames. It still does this. Any ideas? I love these frames but I really can't give these as gifts when they do this over and over and over again...

It appears that it was the professional photos done for my son's wedding that were causing the problem. They were HUGE files and although they were JPEG they had been played with and so were not BASELINE JPEG as the techie guy told me they had to be. Not sure how you tell the difference but I think that was the problem...

Glad you figured it out, Sherri. The point to remember is that frames are not very smart. We discussed this in our Gifting a Digital Frame article, particular in the section on the Wedge frame (Case in Point). Resizing to the frame's dimensions and rotating to it's orientation usually resolves this. But it isn't any particular manufacturer's issue they all are only as smart as they have to be...
