Hey Skylark.
I know of a good one, it is still pretty inexpensive, but what you get is worth it. You get your own domain name, website, they take care of hosting, etc, 10 emails and different options. This is a global company, moving damn fast. Have you ever heard of .WS sites. I am an affiliate. If you want to check it out email me at vissda@yahoo.ca - Dan..
So far I haven't had a problem with Dreamhost. Currently, I set up an email address with every domain I have and just forward them to my gmail account, but they support up to 3000 POP accounts and unlimited aliases on their cheapest package. You could also set up a catch all on the domain to recieve email for any variation, but that would result in a lot more spam. If you google around or visit their forums for a discount code, the first year works out to about $2-3 a month ($10 a month after)...
I you dont sign up with a cheap hosting co. and even make a web site, why a blog or something, you can install it directly from cpanel and it takes 1 min. if you choose well you can get a site with unlimited email for 2.50 even 1.50 bucks a month..
Then make emails like,.
This is what I do...
Why dont you signup with a cheap web hosting co.
With 1 or 2.50 bucks a month you get a site (blog or something) and unlimited emails...
What about google? I have used google to host e-mail for a few of my domains and it seems to work pretty well...
Whatever you do, do NOT buy from 1&1. They will take your money and treat you like utter shit..
Jason..
Seems like this thread has attracted a bit of spam!.
I just use cPanel to forward everything to gmail and setup different usable email addresses there - if I really need to hide my gmail address (hardly ever) I log into cpanel and use horde or the other ones..
Had a domain with 1&1 once - nightmare just to transfer it, wouldn't use them again...
We had a dedicated server on 1&1There customer service is one of the worst I had in my life. Our mail and ftp server didn't work and we needed some help , we called them (set on the phone for 30 minutes and the line died) and when we managed to get a hold of them, they said that if we don't appreciate their service we can take our stuff to another company, and then they hung up the phone. I don't know any good company myself but I'm currently hosting on site5. (but they are very slow now, so I don't really recommend them) What ever you do , don't go to 1&1 ..
Just my 2 cents...
As far as traditional web hosting I just switched from Apollo Hosting (because of antiquated php and MySQL versions and poor customer service) to WebIntellects and so far I am thrilled. Great integration, super fast ticket solving and overall very smooth. I tried another ISP provider before switching to them and it's night and day.
As far as e-mail marketing I came across Speedyemailmarketing.com and while I did not try them price looks great and solution very pro..
Good luck..
I actually meant to write campaignmonitor.com and not speedymailmarketing.com..
The later one may offer an excellent service but do not know them and based on what they offer one must try to get a sense of results if any..
Best,.
